Scott Schaible, one of the Founders, and his daughter were at a soccer match where Carli Lloyd was playing. Schaible’s daughter asked if she could get the same cleats as Carli Lloyd and Scott said of course. After searching Google without finding exactly which cleats Lloyd wore, Schaible realized there was an opportunity to help fans find the gear their favorite athletes use both on and off the field. With this idea, Like A Pro was born.

Kurt Overhardt is a founder and oversees Athlete Relations. Kurt has represented professional hockey players for more than 25 years with contracts in excess of $700 million in value. His firm, KO Sports, Inc. (www.KOSportsinc.com), oversees every facet of an athlete’s career, from contract negotiations to endorsement, licensing and sponsorship agreements. He has been certified as a Licensed Certified Player Agent by the NHL Players’ Association and other entities. Previously, Kurt practiced law in the areas of entertainment, labor & employment, intellectual property, and business law. Earlier in his professional career, he worked for the Denver Broncos NFL franchise as well as for International Management Group (“IMG”), then the largest sports management and marketing firm in the world. He earned a BA degree from the University of Denver and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Denver College of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Law Review.
Founder and CEO
Scott Schaible is a founder and CEO of Like A Pro. An entrepreneur since his 20s, his experiences range from political consulting and public relations to successful startups in pet products and recycling. The idea for Like A Pro was sparked when his daughter asked if she could buy the same soccer cleats as her hero Carli Lloyd – and the time-consuming and ultimately fruitless search that followed. Scott has spoken about being an inventor and entrepreneurship, and is a fan of Premier League and Bayern Munich football as well as Rugby. He checked off a bucket list item by attending the World Cup in Brazil in 2014. A New Jersey native, he grew up attending Cosmo’s games at Giants Stadium with 70,000 fans in the NASL heyday. He earned a BA in International Affairs from Lafayette College.
Founder and COO
David Lewis is a founder and COO of Like A Pro. An appellate lawyer since founding his own practice 20 years ago, David has litigated over 100 civil and criminal appeals in state and federal court. He chairs and presents at appellate law conferences on a regular basis, has been published in numerous national journals, been quoted in The New York Times, Boston.com, and The National Law Journal, and appeared on the CBS “Early Show”. He earned a BA in History from Hamilton College and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Denver College of Law where he interned with the International Management Group. A fan of the Detroit Express and a player in the Bonanza Express league, David continues his personal quest to find a replica Express jersey of Trevor Francis (#20). He has run a marathon on four of the seven continents and looks forward to the last three (and to never running a marathon ever again after that).
Founder and Chief Technical Officer
Tom Bender is a founder and Chief Technical Officer for Like A Pro. With a focus on artificial intelligence and the application of technology to solve complex problems, Tom has built, led and worked in the trenches with his engineering teams to deliver solutions in a variety of industries including machine vision & robotic control, automated trading systems, remote sensing & geospatial systems, smart grid, advertising and more. Tom enjoys winter mountain sports, spring/fall desert sports and summers on the shores of Lake Michigan with his family. Tom enjoys golf, hiking, canyoneering and ski mountaineering. His favorite teams are the Michigan Wolverines Football, Basketball and Hockey, the Detroit Red Wings, the Detroit Tigers and the Denver Broncos. His new favorite sport to watch is Downhill Skateboarding. Tom earned a BA in Computational Mathematics and Economics from Albion College.
Founder and Chief Revenue Officer
Bill Sedgwick is a founder and Chief Revenue Officer for Like A Pro. Since entering the media sales world in the early 90's, Bill has had a long career in the Interactive space. He was the first advertising manager at Mapquest in 1996, where he created the original ad products, pricing and hired the initial sales team for one of the earliest Web brands. Since, Bill has shaped web revenue and traffic strategies for many brands including Verizon, The Denver Post, Dex Media and hundreds of others as part of Thunderbolt Group, his digital consultancy. He played competitive tennis, soccer and beach volleyball growing up and is a big fan of Denver's pro sports franchises, World Cup Soccer and the Olympics. Bill earned a BA in Economics from Colorado State University.
Jonathan oversees the branding efforts, overall product roadmap and content strategy for Like A Pro. He has more than 30 years of experience in marketing with a passion for brand building and consumer engagement. In recent years his focus has been social media and eCommerce, where he handled digital marketing for dozens of celebrities and athletes. Ressler has developed award-winning strategies for global brands including The NFL; The NBA, ESPN, Nestle, Ford, Pepsi, Nintendo, and L’Oreal. His work has been profiled by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Businessweek, Time and People. His unique insights have landed him on The Tonight Show, The Late Show With David Letterman, The Today Show, Live With Regis, and he was featured in the award-winning documentary The Corporation. Jonathan played football his entire life and played at the University of Delaware. He received a BA in Marketing from New York University.
Managing Director, Global Strategy
Chris oversees global strategy for Like A Pro, drawing from his extensive background in Olympic sports, finance, international business and investor relations. At the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, Korea Chris earned two gold and a silver medals along with two world records, which stood for more than seven years. Post swimming, Jacobs enjoyed a long-standing career on Wall Street in Credit Sales & Trading at Merrill Lynch, The Bank of New York, JPMorgan and Cantor Fitzgerald. Jacobs is an entrepreneur with start up experience across all aspects of branding, e-commerce, supply chain management, SEO, SEM and digital real estate. Jacobs remains passionate about swimming, all Olympic sports and MMA. Chris’s charitable interests include Swim Across America as well as charities related to educational opportunities for under-privileged girls. Chris is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and also sits on Like A Pro’s Board of Advisors.
Director of Athlete Relations
Colleen joined Like A Pro in 2015 as Director of Athlete Relations. She works directly with founder Kurt Overhardt and oversees the entire athlete recruiting and contract process. Previously, Colleen worked as an executive recruiter in the oil and gas exploration industry. She has also recruited on a global scale and abroad for executive search firms. She received numerous awards for her top performance in the field and record breaking placements. As a lover of sports, and a die hard Baltimore Ravens fan, she is thrilled to apply her skills in recruiting and relationship development to the Professional Sports world. Colleen is responsible for athlete acquisition and building relationships with professional athletes and their sports agents and managers. She received a BA in International Business from Baruch College.
Kelsey joined Like A Pro in 2015 as Athlete Concierge. Kelsey oversees the onboarding process of signed athletes, conducting interviews and compiling photos and other content, much of which comes ultimately from family. Previously, she managed and grew a startup fitness studio where she ran client relations as well as a team of trainers. She has been praised for her ability to understand the needs of her clients and personalize services for each of them. As Athlete Concierge, Kelsey continues to build trusting relationships with athletes, and aids them in building and managing their profiles and ultimately, their brands. Kelsey has always had a passion for athletics, and is currently in her third season as a professional dancer for an NBA franchise. She earned a BA in Economics and Anthropology from the University of San Diego.
Senior Software Architect
Aric joined Like A Pro in 2015 as Senior Software Architect. Aric makes high-level technical design decisions and focuses on all aspects of application performance. Prior to Like A Pro, Aric founded his first company while attending school in Bozeman, Montana. Through that company and others, he has built software for the financial industry, a national compensation consulting firm, state governments and numerous other companies ranging from small local businesses to regional multi-branch banks. Aric always enjoys catching an early morning Liverpool FC game and will never turn down a chance to play soccer. Originally from South Dakota, he studied in Bozeman, Montana where he received a BS in Computer Science from Montana State University.
Sports Media & Commerce Coordinator
Connor Mulvihill is a Sports Media Associate for Like A Pro. Connor has previously worked for Crystal Springs Golf Resort, Harrow Sports and also interned for the University of Colorado Buffaloes football program. Connor loves to play golf, basketball, football and lacrosse. Connor earned a BA in Business Administration & Sports Management from High Point University in North Carolina where he played club lacrosse and hockey.
Athlete Content & Commerce Coordinator
Brian joined Like A Pro in 2016 as the Athlete Content & Commerce Coordinator. He is responsible for facilitating the process of athlete content from the interview process all the way through to the posting to live profiles. He is also responsible for managing and engaging the athlete community with respect to driving sales within their individual Like A Pro stores. Previously, Brian worked for Mile High Sports, Learfield Sports, and Kroenke Sports and Entertainment. He grew up in Denver playing hockey and lacrosse, and also loves to ski. Brian attended Southern Methodist University where he majored in Sport Management with minors in business and strategic communications.
Social Media Coordinator
Alex Yoshida joined Like A Pro as an intern in the spring of 2016. Alex is responsible for Like A Pro's social media presence, and is a contributing writer for athlete stories. He is a student at the University of Southern California, majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Political Science. When not at Like A Pro, he has a passion for sports, and is a huge fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche. He played four years of Varsity Hockey and Baseball at Kent Denver School, where he earned the Hobey Baker Award for sportsmanship his senior year. When he's not working or playing recreational sports, he enjoys volunteering with Adam's Camp, a non-profit dedicated to maximizing the potential of children and young adults with special needs.
Alexandra joined Like A Pro in 2016 as a Staff Writer. She currently writes articles and biographies for all athlete profiles on Like A Pro. Previously, Alexandra has worked as a congressional intern in Washington D.C. and an executive assistant for the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. She currently holds a position as photo editor for the CU Independent, CU Boulder’s online student newspaper. Alexandra played 7 years of field hockey before going to college. Her love of and dedication to the sport has not only given her discipline and determination, but also an immense interest in the sports world. Her home town of San Antonio, Texas gave her an undying, and sometimes irrational, love for the San Antonio Spurs.
Three-time NHL All-Star and Canadian Olympian, Mr. Turco is a member of the Like A Pro Board of Advisor Group. He played 11 seasons in the National Hockey League and still holds the Dallas Stars Franchise records for Games Played (509), Wins (262) and Shutouts (40). After nine seasons in Dallas, Mr. Turco also played for the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins before retiring following the 2011-12 season. As a member of the Board of Advisors Mr. Turco brings his unique perspective not only as a professional hockey player, but also as an individual fully integrated in the sports world. Mr. Turco also continues to be involved in numerous business ventures and has been on the board of multiple charitable groups. From the locker room to the board room, Mr. Turco’s excitement and experience are invaluable to the Like A Pro Team.
Mr. Durham was among the first wave of digital marketers when he began to focus exclusively on it back in 1995. Since then, Mr. Durham has proven himself as an industry leader, frequently speaking at well-known digital advertising functions, heading up both sales and marketing organizations, building an incredible network of experts and starting up one of the most popular and active digital industry networking groups, BIG (Bay Area Interactive Group). Mr. Durham is currently the Managing General Partner of Catalyst S+F, a strategy firm he founded in 2007 that is focused on helping digital startups and early funding companies succeed in the digital space. Mr. Durham previously served as Vice President of Business Strategy at Carat Fusion, where he ran the strategy practice for CF's offices in New York, Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles. John is a sports enthusiast with special affection for Premier League Soccer (Arsenal), World Tennis, and American Baseball (Giants) and Football (49ers).
Sanjeev is CEO and Founder of Javia Wellness Group, a health and wellness firm focused on the innovative research, formulation, and design of nutritional, nutraceutical, and exercise solutions for various disease management states and elite human performance. Sanjeev has designed products and programs for over 800 Olympic, Professional, and Collegiate athletes. His client list includes multiple Super Bowl MVP's, World Series Champions, Stanley Cup Champions, PGA Tour Players, and Olympic Medalists. He has been a nutritional and dietary supplement consultant to various professional teams such as the Boston Red Sox, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Nuggets, Denver Broncos, and Cincinnati Reds. Sanjeev graduated from the University of Michigan and Thunderbird School of Global Management and Policy.
Robin has 25 years of experience in the asset management industry with leadership expertise in branding and distribution. During Robin’s 20 years at Janus Capital Group, she most recently served as Executive Vice President of Janus US Distribution as well as President & CEO of the Janus Mutual Funds Trust and Executive Committee member. In this role, Robin led the firm’s US distribution, marketing, global product and communications functions and served as a key member of the executive management team, driving company vision and strategic priorities for nearly two decades. Robin is well-versed in corporate governance and fiduciary oversight having served as a Section 16 public company executive officer, Board member of Janus Capital Group subsidiaries and the Janus Capital Group Foundation.
