Golden Tate is a professional wide receiver for the Detroit Lions. Tate had an incredibly successful college career with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. During his sophomore season, Tate recorded over 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. These impressive statistics made Golden Tate a unanimous All-American in 2009. In the 2010 NFL Draft, the Seahawks drafted Golden Tate in the second round as the 60th overall pick. During his time with the Seahawks, Tate won a Super Bowl. He was then traded to the Detroit Lions, where he had his most impressive season yet. Tate was a 2014 Pro-Bowler thanks to his 99 receptions and 1,331 receiving yards. Tate’s impressive athleticism was also recognized on the baseball diamond, as he was drafted to the San Francisco Giants in the 50th round of the 2010 MLB Draft, but did not sign.
